The A-Lign was designed to perform to strict acoustical parameters. Critical in the design was the HF waveguide. Typically, in a full range monopole speaker, the high frequency reproduction is also entrusted to cone transducers. While this fulfils the SPL criteria, it almost always fails to meet the necessary frequency extension required. to generate cylindrical waves at very high frequencies.
