Namdhari Audio Visual Hyderabad acquires new Turbosound Flex Array Rig

Namdhari AudioVisual, a reputed rental company from Hyderabad known for providing comprehensive live event solutions, have new additions to their existing line-up in the form of 12 new modules of the Turbosound Flex Array TFA600H. The purchase took place after the PALM Expo 2011 in June, which incidentally is where members of Namdhari AudioVisual first experienced the Flex Arrays in action during the open air line array shoot-out session.

Gurmukh Singh of Namdhari AudioVIsual mentions that up until the purchase of the Flex Arrays, the company’s inventory boasted of solutions from Adamson & Nexo. However, he reveals that from quite some time, the company was scouring the market for a mid-scale line array system that would provide the right balance and act as the perfect solution for their medium scale indoor & outdoor events, which is what brought them to the PALM Expo 2011.

Turbosound’s official Indian distributor, Narain Pro Audio & Lighting, had deployed the Turbosound Flex Array modules at the PALM’s open air line array shoot out demo, which is where Gurmukh & his team caught a glimpse of the system in action. Says Gurmukh, “After a long search, we listened to the Turbosound Flex Arrays at the Palm Expo, and we were really impressed with the mid & high frequency response, the throw, and clarity offered by the system. Another major positive that we considered, was the compact nature of the system. It fit our requirements well, and so we realised that it had the potential to be a key rig for us. Added to the fact that Turbosound is a huge name in the market, another factor that influenced our decision was that at the time we were looking for our ‘perfect system’, Hyderabad did not have a Flex Array line up. So we just had to go ahead and have it for ourselves!”

Soon after the purchase, the Namdhari team deployed their new Turbosound system at a huge event in Indore, celebrating the festival of Navratri. With over 8000 people participating through all the days that the event spanned, the venue was flooded with high SPL. Says Gurmukh, “As this was an indoor setup, we decided to fly the system in a way that would minimize reflection of sound. Navratri being one of the loudest of the festivals in India, which demands very high SPL, we knew from the very beginning that the system had to be spot on and sound smooth and clear. At the end of it all, the system proved to be a great hit and the event turned out to be a big success”
