A
built-in, replaceable hard-drive (for maintenance) makes it easy to store
music within the mixer, while USB connectivity allows you to connect USB
2.0 Mass Storage Class drives for additional storage. The HD2500 comes
with Denon’s Music Manager Software, which allows you to organize
and then search music by Artist, Album, Title, Genre, Year, BPM and playlists.
Additionally, two Hot Start buttons (A1 and A2) allow you to create seamless
loops and stutter points for increased manipulation of your set.
The Music
Manager, settings and details can be viewed on large LCD window. Jog wheels
on the mixer enable you to cue up and start a track at any given point
for more control. For the most part these functions emulate their popular
CD player models, so you might not notice the new format you’re
playing on. And for those of you that choose to navigate with a keyboard,
the HD2500 supports any USB/PS2 keyboard
